Baptism

Baptism is a beg deal at First Christian because it was a big deal in the New Testament. Baptism is an important step of obedience that shows others that we have personally trusted Jesus for our salvation. Jesus was baptized when He was on Earth, and we do this to follow His example. when believers are baptized, they are submerged under water to identify with the death and burial of Jesus and raised out of the water to identify with His resurrection.

The following links are two short teaching videos about salvation.

Community

We were never meant to do life alone.
We were created for COMMUNITY and PROXIMITY.
Proximity is nothing more than a large gathering of casual acquaintances.
We believe everyone needs a community where the joys and struggles of life are shared.

So whether it’s finding a group or leading one of your own, we would love to chat with you as you process your next step.

Mission

We believe all followers of Jesus live on mission because Jesus himself was on mission. One of the easiest ways to live life on mission is to volunteer. Volunteers are the backbone of ministry. You can make a difference with your time by serving in a role that fits your gifts, interests, and talents.

Serving at First Christian involves four simple steps:

1. Volunteer Form

2. Background Check
  • Some of our volunteer opportunities require a background check.  This includes all volunteers serve with children under the age of 18. This helps us provide safe environments for everyone.

3. Meet With Us

  • We want to make sure serving is a great experience for every and this gives us an opportunity to find the perfect fit for you.
  • This is also an opportunity for you to ask any questions.

4. Try It Out
  • We encourage all of our volunteers to try it out before committing to serve.  We’ll pair you up with one of our volunteers to make sure the position is a good fit for you.
