Kid City refers to our overall children’s ministry ranging from infancy to 5th grade.
Super Kids is our elementary(K-5th) children’s ministry. This consists of the Sunday morning Super Kid’s service, Sunday Night Kids, and all special events and camps.
For your child’s safety, our children’s ministry utilizes a check-in/check-out procedure each Sunday. You will be given a unique security code that will match your child’s ID tag, used during check-out. You will need to provide the check-out tag to pick up your children from their classroom each week. Plan to come a little early on your first visit so that we can put your information into our check-in station.
All volunteers who serve with our kids have gone through our child protection program process and passed a criminal background check. They have also been equipped with materials and trained to provide Bible-based lessons that are engaging, fun, and appropriate for their classes.
Wee Worship: Also held during the 10:00 hour, Wee Worship engages our preschoolers through fun Bible lessons and hands-on learning activities where they begin to understand God’s love for them.
Nursery and Toddler Rooms: Children who are under the age of 3 have a safe place to play and learn that God loves them in our infant nursery and toddler rooms. These rooms are equipped with age appropriate toys, cribs and changing rooms. Parents are provided with pagers that allow for instant communication with the parents during the service, if necessary.
NOTE: FIRST CHRISTIAN STRIVES TO KEEP EVERY KID SAFE AND HEALTHY The following policy is designed for the health and safety of each child in our church school departments. Although we realize as parents we cannot always know when our children are becoming ill or contagious, we ask that you follow these guidelines to hopefully keep the spread of contagious illnesses/diseases to a minimum. If your child is exhibiting any of the following symptoms, please do not bring him/her into his/her class:
- Fever greater than 100
- Excessive coughing, runny nose
- Questionable rash
- Diarrhea/vomiting
- Lethargy (marked decrease of normal activity)
- Chicken Pox
- Conjunctivitis (Pink Eye)
- Impetigo
If your child is being treated with antibiotics, he/she should be on the drug for at least 24 hours before going into his/her classroom. Likewise, a child should be “fever free” for 24 hours before entering their class.

FCC student ministries exist to provide an environment for students to:
BELONG to the church
BELIEVE in Christ
BEHAVE biblically
BECOME fully devoted to Christ
FCC student ministries offer many programs and activities where students can get to know other students, have fun, and grow closer to God. Our goal is to make disciples and help students make their faith their own, so that when they become adults, they will be standing on their own faith and not the faith of others.
WAKE. . . . Love God. Love Students. A great entry point for students is WAKE, which is offered on Sundays from 6-7:30pm for students in grades 6-12. It is an opportunity for students to gather for worship and connect with other teenage believers; there’s always food, videos, music with our youth band and speaking.
Special events happen throughout the year, including summer, to help keep students connected with other students, adult leaders and God.
